Job Description:
- This position supports trial-related tasks in our benchtops, while also maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in culinary and operational areas.
- The role involves handling industrial-grade chemicals, assembling/disassembling equipment, washing dishes and utensils, performing light cleaning duties, assisting in stocking the bench top and pulling stock.
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, technically proficient, and able to work independently.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor standard processing equipment within defined operational parameters to ensure compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
- Perform cleaning and sanitization of laboratory and kitchen equipment (including glassware, utensils, and process vessels) using industrial-grade dishwashing systems or validated manual cleaning procedures.
- Verify cleanliness and sanitation compliance through visual inspection and adherence to documented protocols ensure proper storage of cleaned items in designated areas.
- Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and stored appropriately.
- Maintain GMP-compliant workspaces, including dishwashing stations, countertops, and operational zones, ensuring readiness for trial activities.
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning agents and consumables, initiating replenishment requests in alignment with inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with culinary and operations teams to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
- Complete tasks with minimal supervision and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Execute assigned tasks independently, following documented work instructions and escalating deviations to supervisory personnel.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and effective teamwork in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
- Perform additional technical support duties as directed by management to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, culinary environments, or as a dishwasher is an asset.
- Ability to execute proper sanitation and safety procedures.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to plan work effectively and efficiently.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Professional communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
