Job Description:
- This Engineer role requires 0–5 years of experience and an accredited bachelor’s degree.
- Responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software tools for power system design and construction.
- Supports estimating, design development, and construction documentation.
- Apply engineering processes and design standards to power-related systems.
- Support estimate preparation and development of design options.
- Prepare construction specifications and packages.
- Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for contractors.
- Ensure a safe work environment by prioritizing safety.
- Understand processes related to planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with internal departments involved in engineering and construction activities.
- Use design software applications effectively.
- Follow industry and company design standards.
- Support development of design standards and criteria.
- Assist construction and maintenance teams in daily operations.
- Estimate materials required for projects.
- Transmit construction packages and support related specifications.
- Pull mechanical and electrical drawings from repositories.
- Perform field walkdowns and mark up drawings.
- Sketch P&IDs for missing drawings and components.
- Assign asset/component numbers and naming as per standards.
- Develop spreadsheets for component and asset naming.
- Install physical tags on assets and components.
- Track progress and provide project updates.
- Basic engineering knowledge.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make decisions with limited supervision.
- Basic knowledge of discipline-specific software.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, engineering teams, and vendors.
