Job Description:

Engineering Technical Compliance - Environmental Engineering

  • We are currently hiring students to join our Engineering Technical Compliance - Environmental Engineering team for the Summer of 2023.
  • The students will be given real-life responsibilities through involvement in various activities, as part of an engineering team tasked with environmental compliance of Client's network of operating facilities.
  • The projects will vary in complexity and provide some exposure to the Client Environmental Program’s responsibilities involved in making many of the Petfood brands found on shelves across the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and manage data associated with environmental requirements, including inspections, audits, and record retention
  • Assist with the preparation and submittal of routine regulatory reports to government agencies
  • Learn the requirements of the Client Environmental Management System as well as compliance standard ISO 14001:2015
  • Work with environmental team to implement environmental tracking and reporting systems
  • Work closely with environmental team on a variety of regulatory matters
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship builder; with the ability to relate to all levels of people and be able to thrive in a team environment; Will work with Corporate Engineering and Environmental Teams at Client manufacturing sites.
  • Overall department support and duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be a student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a related field of study
  • Have completed (or currently doing) environmental compliance related projects or work experience (strongly preferred)
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Effective communication and organization skills
  • Analytical skills for data tracking and results analysis
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Collaborative and able to work in a cross functional team environment
  • Authorized to work in the US
