Job Description:
- Cloud Infrastructure Analyst (OCI-Focused) – Contractor
- As a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst, you will be responsible for advising, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions for our organization, with a strong emphasis on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- You will work closely with other technical and business teams to understand their requirements, learn our current infrastructure, and help drive cloud-based solutions that align with organizational goals across a multi-cloud environment.
- This role will involve collaborating with other technical teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions, creating and maintaining documentation, and working with vendors and partners to identify, implement, and maintain suitable platforms and services.
- Responsibilities include lifecycle management, automation, security risk identification, and ensuring that our cloud infrastructure is scalable, reliable, secure, and performant.
- This position will require participation in an on-call rotation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop OCI-centric cloud architectures that meet technical and business requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business partners, and vendors to develop, implement, and maintain cloud solutions across OCI and other cloud platforms.
- Develop and maintain cloud documentation including architecture diagrams, policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Support cloud networking capabilities including subnetting, firewalls, routing, and hybrid connectivity across OCI, Azure, and on-prem environments.
- Identify and address security risks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor, optimize, and automate cloud-based infrastructure for performance, resiliency, best practices, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Stay current with Oracle OCI platform capabilities and emerging cloud technologies and apply improvements as appropriate.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure cloud solutions align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Assess impact, quantify risk, and provide input to support informed business and technical decisions.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications (Must Have):
- Hands-on professional experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in an enterprise environment.
- Experience designing, implementing, and operating OCI core services such as networking (VCN, subnets, routing), compute, storage, IAM, and security controls.
- Experience with OCI identity and integration services, including OCI IAM/IDCS and/or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience supporting production cloud environments with operational responsibilities, including incident response and on-call support.
- Must be a United States citizen, due to regulatory, contractual, and security requirements.
Preferred / Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Analyst, or similar role working with enterprise SaaS, PaaS, and/or IaaS solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as AKS, Databricks, and/or Data Factory.
- Experience with multi-cloud architectures, including interconnect technologies such as Oracle FastConnect, Azure ExpressRoute, and AT&T NetBond.
- Experience working with enterprise firewall platforms; Palo Alto firewall experience preferred.
- Experience developing automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools and languages such as Terraform, ARM, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, JSON, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor and Microsoft Systems Center.
- Experience with enterprise cloud governance, security controls, DevOps practices, and CI/CD methodologies.
- Familiarity with utility industry regulatory requirements such as NERC CIP and SarbanesOxley (SOX).

Education:
- BS/BA preferred in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant experience and/or cloud certifications may substitute for a degree.
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience providing engineering and/or support for in-scope technologies, depending on job level.
