Job Description:
- The Design Engineer for our direct client assists in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects.
- The right candidate must be a self-starter, an excellent communicator, a critical thinker, and able to make sound decisions.
- This position is an exciting opportunity for persons who enjoy the challenges of supporting the construction of natural gas facilities.
- Working on gas storage or gas fueling station assignments.
- Performing assignments involving the design of components or the functionality of pipeline products.
- Involved in the planning and design of mechanical equipment and components involving maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Performing system balances to determine the best overall solution to solve system issues or identify system low points and methods to best solve them.
- Provide oversight and support for construction activities.
- You have a high level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to leverage internal and external stakeholders to efficiently accomplish tasks and resolve issues.
- You have the ability and initiative to work in a self-guided manner and collaboratively.
- You have a customer-focused, critical thinking mindset with a demonstrated ability to learn and become proficient in proposing solutions and completing tasks.
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- You can work across a matrix organization structure with horizontal and vertical teams.
- Project Management.
- Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.
- Computer Assisted Design/Geographic Information System - basic proficiency.
- MS Office - advanced proficiency.
- CAD/GIS - intermediate proficiency.
- BA/BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or General)
- 1-3 years of progressive Engineering experience Or
- Equivalent academic education and experience.
- Preferred: Engineer in Training (E.I.T.)
