Title: DevOps Engineer (Remote)
Location: Redwood City, CA
Duration: Long Term
Pay Rate: $70/hr on C2C
- As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary to support our development and deployment processes.
- You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines are efficient, secure, and robust. Your expertise in DevOps, monitoring, Jenkins, AWS, GCP, and Terraform will be critical in driving our success.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure in AWS and GCP.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, automating the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Manage and optimize AWS and GCP environments, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS/GCP monitoring services.
- Enforce security best practices and compliance standards across the infrastructure and applications.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the deployment process and resolve any issues efficiently.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for automation and develop scripts or tools to improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in IaC using Terraform.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and version control systems.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS and GCP services.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.
- Solid scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- AWS and GCP certifications (optional but a plus).
