Engineering Technician

On-Site role

Job Description:

• Engineering Technician.
• Onsite in Sunnyvale, CA | 5 days in office.
• Travel within the Bay Area is required.
• The SW HIL team at Client is responsible for building and maintaining various test assets to validate the design of our autonomous vehicle.
• As an Engineering Technician, you will support the build, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these simulation machines.
• This role is essential to the execution stage of the autonomous software development program, ensuring the test infrastructure operates predictably at all times. 
• We are looking for candidates who have the skills and motivation to contribute to the rapid growth and development of our program. 

Responsibilities:

• Support and track configurations of test platforms.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair test hardware.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Build and repair harnesses based on electrical diagrams.
• Assemble, install, and configure computers.
• Install vehicle system components into server racks.
• Buildout networking infrastructure.
• Clearly document progress on tasks and projects.
• Maintain lab tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of automotive CAN bus networks.
• Experience using Linux and running scripts.
• Working knowledge of Google Suite, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Proficiency using a digital multimeter and oscilloscope.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Experience building and troubleshooting computers.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Capacity to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Bonus Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering.
• 3+ years of autonomous vehicle experience.
• Data center experience.
• IPC Certification.
