Job Description:
- Engineering Technician.
- Onsite in Sunnyvale, CA | 5 days in office.
- Travel within the Bay Area is required.
- The SW HIL team at Client is responsible for building and maintaining various test assets to validate the design of our autonomous vehicle.
- As an Engineering Technician, you will support the build, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these simulation machines.
- This role is essential to the execution stage of the autonomous software development program, ensuring the test infrastructure operates predictably at all times.
- We are looking for candidates who have the skills and motivation to contribute to the rapid growth and development of our program.
Responsibilities:
- Support and track configurations of test platforms.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair test hardware.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Build and repair harnesses based on electrical diagrams.
- Assemble, install, and configure computers.
- Install vehicle system components into server racks.
- Buildout networking infrastructure.
- Clearly document progress on tasks and projects.
- Maintain lab tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of automotive CAN bus networks.
- Experience using Linux and running scripts.
- Working knowledge of Google Suite, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Proficiency using a digital multimeter and oscilloscope.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Experience building and troubleshooting computers.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Capacity to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Bonus Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering.
- 3+ years of autonomous vehicle experience.
- Data center experience.
- IPC Certification.
