Environmental Specialist

• Working Hours: Typically, M-Th 0700-1730 but occasional night and weekend work
• A bachelor’s degree in biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Candidates should have one to five years of experience in environmental sampling and compliance.
• The Level 1 Environmental Specialist assists with environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability initiatives.
• This role involves collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, minimize environmental impacts, and support sustainable practices.
• Basic knowledge of environmental regulations, project management skills, and the capacity to collaborate on environmental matters within the organization are necessary.

Qualifications:

• Include familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Experience operating power boats and watercraft.
• Ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects.
• Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills.
• Effective communication abilities and attention to detail.
