On-Site role

Job Description:
Responsibilities:

• Input, processing, and maintenance of Alabama Power Distribution Lines and Equipment assets in an ESRI GIS database.

Qualification Requirements
Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a similar field, or a GIS Certificate, or at least 2 years of full-time GIS work experience is required.

Technical Skills:

• Power Distribution knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software is required.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software is a plus.
• Competency with standard computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite, is required.
• Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Drafting) is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Capable of working in a team environment is required.
• Flexible to work 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, in an office environment in Birmingham, Alabama.
• Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours per day, starting as early as 7:00 AM and ending as late as 5:00 PM.
• Once the 3 month training period is completed in Birmingham (depends on individual), work may become mostly remote with occasional work, meetings, training, etc., in the office.
