Hardware Validation Engineer – Storage Systems

On-Site role

Job Description:

• The ideal candidate will do the following as part of this team at Client Corporation. 
• Perform storage validation tasks using hardware infrastructure, hardware tools such as analyzers, Oscilloscope, storage product testers 
• Write, execute and debug eSSD testing scripts in python framework or inhouse tools (internally developed) 
• File Jiras and generate reports. 
• Maintain inventory and manage lab equipment, aware of licenses, installation of OS and other softwares. 
• Perform first level failure analysis and triage test setup issues. 

Skills/Knowledge:

• Knowledge of storage, storage environments, computers and computer system architecture. 
• Knowledge about basics of embedded systems. 
• Firmware knowledge. 
• Exposure to industry standard communications such as NVMe/PCIe, USB etc., 
• Strong desire to deep-dive system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment with a proactive attitude 
• Debugging using JTAG debugger.
• Hands on debug experience with usage of modern lab equipment (DSOs, Logic Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers) are a plus 
• Working Knowledge in scripting language like python and Linux Operating Systems.

Education:

• Technical Associates Degree
