Junior Construction Engineer

• Requires 0–5 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power-related systems.
• Supports project estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications.
• Provides guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop:
  • Design solutions
  • Cost estimates
  • Construction packages
• Creates a safe work environment by prioritizing safety in all tasks and decisions.
• Understands the processes involved in planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance of systems.
• Gains knowledge of the functions and activities of internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance.
• Understands design practices, work processes, and company design standards.
• Utilizes all relevant software applications used in engineering design.
• Supports the development of design standards and system criteria.
• Assists construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations.
• Prepares material estimates for engineering projects.
• Transmits construction packages and supports related specifications.
