Title: Maintenance Coordinator - Safety & Compliance
Location: Plant Barry-SCS1105 15300 Highway 43 Bucks, AL 
Duration: 1 year contract 

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will work closely with the System Owner to coordinate and manage the maintenance activities of their assigned system. 
  • This role involves overseeing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate documentation. 
  • The Contract Coordinator will also be responsible for performing various essential tasks, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, Open Hole permits, and completing shift reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the System Owner to plan and coordinate maintenance activities for the assigned system.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Administer and oversee the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) process to ensure the safety of personnel during maintenance operations.
  • Manage Confined Space Entry permits, ensuring all safety protocols are followed and proper documentation is maintained.
  • Oversee the issuance and management of Open Hole permits, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Complete and maintain accurate shift reports, documenting all maintenance activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Communicate e1ectively with maintenance teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Identify and report any potential safety hazards or compliance issues to the
  • System Owner and relevant authorities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and plans.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and other relevant activities to stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or safety certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the power generation or industrial sector.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, including LOTO, Confined Space
  • Entry, and Open Hole permits.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for documentation and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and noise.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
