Job Description:
  • Work days and hours – Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm (hours may be subject to change after training)
  • Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
  • Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
  • Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.
  • Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
  • Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
  • Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
Primary duties will include:
  • Working in shipping/receiving environment.
  • Packing/unpacking of Client systems, accessories, parts and components.
  • Handling delicate and sensitive parts and materials with care.
  • Daily interaction with ERP, email and project management systems.
  • Maintaining records of material movement.
  • Following detailed packaging procedures for routine equipment combinations.
  • Exercising judgment in safe packaging of less common equipment combinations.
  • Communicating with others from different groups in coordinating the outbound flow of material.
  • Performing cycle counts of inventory, including specializing in packing material used in primary work duties.
  • Submitting timely replenishment requests for packing materials.
  • May assist in preparing kits for internal or external assembly operations.
  • Additional related activities as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 2 - 4 years working in Material-related functions.
  • Ability to follow step-by-step instructions (imagine putting together furniture at home) and escalate any documentation gaps.
  • Attention to detail - and an appreciation of the effort needed to undo a lack of attention to detail.
  • Organization master - can keep track of high volumes of paperwork and inventory passing their desk.
  • Time-management skills - completing tasks on time, or proactively presenting potential delays to management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with a lot of moving parts and shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to be reliable and accountable.
  • A go-getter, list-maker, task-complete.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • HS Graduate or equivalent, and work experience of 5 years.
