Title: Quality Specialist
Location: Bridgewater, NJ
Duration: 18 months

Job Description:

  • The NPTC Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting quality by design in R&D projects and providing expertise including product-specific assistance to the Client.
  • This position is the quality representative for CAT 2 projects as assigned to ensure full compliance with Quality, Food Safety, and Regulatory requirements.
  • It will also provide technical assistance to Client factories and Application Groups regarding Quality topics as required.
  • Additional responsibilities are supporting the Client Management System by being part of the Internal Audit Team, supporting the Pilot Plant HACCP team, and promoting continuous improvement in the NPTC.                                         

Responsibilities:

  • Promotes quality and food safety awareness in the NPTC and across the category.
  • Provides training and awareness related to Client Standards, Client Quality processes, and GMPs to contribute to the competence development of quality professionals across the organization.                               
  • Project team member engaged in NPTC Innovation / Renovation projects assuring Quality function I2L deliverables throughout project stages.
  • Perform Food Safety Assessments and develop pHACCP and rMMS new product/technology projects, including support to factories for implementation
  • Ensures quality and food safety technical knowledge is transferred to operations through engagement, training, and handover of projects.
  • Ensures full compliance with Client Standards and Regulatory requirements.
  • Technical assistance on the creation of RMPS (raw material purchase specification)
  • Promote compliance with the Client Management System requirements and other applicable Standards.
  • Member of the Internal Audit Team, responsible for auditing processes and areas according to the Internal Audit Plan.
  • Support visits from regulatory bodies, such as FDA or USDA, and external certification bodies.               
  • Provides assistance to Quality functions in markets and factories.                             

Experience:

  • University graduate or equivalent work experience (preferred food science-related)

Operational Experience:

  • Demonstrated Competence in their field to support business requirements

 Business Experience:

  • Participating in project teams
  • Leading part of a change effort
  • Establishing networks of peers, in markets or factories
