Job Description:

  • Guide strategic cross-functional globally distributed teams through agile values, principles, practices, and tools with the goal of achieving the desired business outcomes.
  • Serve the Agile Delivery Teams by coaching the team members in self-management and cross-functionality - coach them on organizing themselves to choose how best to accomplish their work, rather than being directed by others outside the team. Coach them to optimize flexibility, creativity, and productivity.
  • Help the Agile Delivery Teams focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done.
  • Help the Agile Delivery Teams adopt growth mindset, iterative and incremental approach, practice customer collaboration, empiricism, continuous feedback, learning and continuous improvement.
  • Cause the Removal of Impediments to the Agile Delivery Team’s progress. Provide guidance, coaching, support, and facilitation, and help remove any obstacles that teams may encounter along the way.
  • Ensure that all Scrum events and other required collaborative events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
  • Prepare and facilitate PI Planning/Quarterly Planning with entire Product/Platform teams including business stakeholders to ensure the team plans work for the upcoming quarter.
  • Organise and facilitate Scrum of Scrums across dependent teams to manage the dependencies across the teams as well as to have a visibility into cross-team progress.
  • Serve the Product Owner by helping find techniques for effective Product Backlog management. Help the Product Owner in focusing the backlog on the next major release, regularly refining the backlog, identifying dependencies, ensuring high priority items are ready for sprint planning and making the backlog visible & transparent to the Agile Delivery Team.
  • Help employees and stakeholders understand & enact an empirical approach for complex work where work is divided into smaller working bits, planning is based on the evaluation of the result of these bits (inspection and adaptation), improvement & direction is guided by experiments, examples, & experience.
  • Remove barriers between stakeholders and the Agile Delivery Teams by assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and sharing of information. Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.
  • Lead the establishment of a culture of continuous improvement throughout the teams.
  • Help create an environment that is creative, safe, productive, and supportive and enables multi-directional collaboration.
  • Ensure configuration and adoption of Azure DevOps by the Agile Delivery Teams to support team workflow management and ensure transparency.
  • Support the integration and use of Azure DevOps tools within Agile Delivery teams to optimize collaboration, code management, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify and implement metrics that drive quality, delivery, and change for an initiative. Develop, track, and publish metrics, dashboards in tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) to provide real-time insights into the progress of outcomes, delivery/flow metrics and performance.
  • Guide teams in establishing and following effective processes to manage planning, development, and deployment.
  • Assess the Agile maturity of the teams and coach them to achieve higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable for the team and organization.
  • Identify training needs and provide guidance for professional development.
  • Serve the organization in several ways, including Leading, training, and coaching the organization in its adoption of Agile.
  • Act as an agile ambassador in sessions across the organization like communities of practice, and leadership forums.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of IT experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant active Scrum Master experience in a software development/digital solutions development environment.
  • Experience in influencing, engaging teams & driving change with an assertive, active listening, and strong communication skill set.
  • Certifications: Scrum Master Certification (CSM/PSM/PMI-ACP) AND SAFe certification (Leading SAFe or SAFe SSM) is a MUST.
  • ADO experience: Experienced in using and setting up Azure DevOps (ADO) tools for managing projects, demonstrating proficiency in leveraging ADO for agile project tracking and management.
  • Proven skill in facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency, and servant leadership
  • Experience with various Agile approaches – Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.
  • Capable of effectively collaborating in a diverse, virtual environment that includes working with teams spread across different geographical locations and organizational boundaries.
  • Verbal and written fluency in English is required.
  • Experience working in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) practices: Familiarity or experience with SAFe practices, enhancing the capability to scale agile across larger, more complex projects.
  • Stakeholder Management, Negotiation & Communication Skills: Strong skills in managing stakeholders, negotiating, and communicating effectively across all levels of the organization to manage expectations and align project objectives with business goals.
  • Knowledge and experience with multiple Agile techniques, User Stories, TDD, DevOps/Continuous Integration, etc.
