Job Description:
- Work Location: Solon, OH
- Work Schedule: FT M-F 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Design and conduct shelf life studies in support of customer (R&D projects and at the request of Client markets) and project related requests.
- Coordinate technical panel schedule balancing and communicating available panel technician resources and sample availability.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shelf Life Study Design and Program Execution:
- Assist in the preparation, moderating, and reporting of shelf-life panels, assist in creation of new shelf-life panel protocols to incorporate the needs of NUSA TAG and R&D.
- Maintain accurate and timely panel documentation and study reports.
- Manage inventory of shelf life products and actively communicates availability of shelf life freezer storage space, assuring that product samples are available for panels and studies when needed.
- Records all applicable data (logs, reports etc.) from shelf-life the panels.
- Proficient in using basic analytical instruments and perform (with guidance) data analysis as specified by the study.
- Assemble and assist in preparing for shipping: frozen and chilled ingredients or finished products for off-site shelf-life storage.
- Proficient in using Client systems such as GLOBE, NesTMS, NesRequest etc.
- Ensure that the confidentiality of all proprietary information and procedures are maintained.
- Must be able to read and follow product instructions proficiently and accurately based on product design, business initiatives, and concept-work under the direction of the project team/supervisor.
Technical and Taste Panel Coordination:
- Responsible for panel schedule oversight, coordinating with project team and internal stakeholders on schedules, information flow and schedule conflicts.
- Maintain clean and ready panel kitchen and panel room conditions.
- Facilitate or arranging a facilitator for each panel request with minimal supervision (including set-up, organization and clean-up).
- Responsible for monitoring and coordinating the use and rotation of inventory of the panel room storage locations.
- Support the product development process with cooking instruction creation and validations.
- Provide flexible panel leadership for other Client locations as well as off-site panels per project requests.
- Track and manage the accuracy and performance of finished product cooking equipment.
- Measure, track and report panel support delivery.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):
- A.S. or B.S. degree preferred in science, culinary, baking or related area or equivalent experience.
- Available to maintain a flexible 1st shift work schedule to support business needs, example as 8am to 5pm.
- Minimum of 5 years working in food manufacturing, culinary environments or food handling.
- Have solid understanding of mathematics and data analysis (e.g. pivot tables, graphs, KPI’s).
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
