On-Site role

Job Description:

  • Currently scheduled for 4 months, it is considered temp to hire. 
  • Onsite only.

SUMMARY: 

  • This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the organization and administration of LTL order information that is received into the Fresh Meats Load Planning department
  • Coordinating with Client's customers to schedule receiving appointments, assist in the coordinating of outbound freight
  • Communicating with customer service representatives (CSRs) and Client sales representatives to obtain order delivery and receiving information as needed to achieve customer expectations
  • Communicate service issues and customer requirements with Client Warehousing, Client Fleet and Client Transportation Operations departments as needed to contribute to achieve the efficient distribution of Client products
  • Monitor sales orders for assigned customers for various company management personnel
  • Assist in carrier tracking and tracing procedures and document such information in established reporting systems for management
  • Assist in resolving delivery issues with sales, transportation dispatch, customers and/or carriers when needed
  • Compile and distribute assigned distribution performance and customer service reports accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Includes other division administrative duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years of office/clerical experience; transportation or customer service environment is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required; must possess articulate and professional phone skills with internal company contacts and external customers.
  • Special Skills: Must have the ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking.
