On-Site role

Job Description:

  • Supports NDC’s Site Operations team to ensure all Supply Chain shipping and receiving responsibilities are accurate to facilitate trials within the facility. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with trucking companies to schedule receiving and pick up of shipments following freight procedure and bill of lading guidelines.
  • Monitor temperature of building cooler/freezers and storage areas.
  • Support trial excellence by ensuring supply and timely availability of materials at all times, proactively working to anticipate and resolve supply/delivery issues.
  • Follow Purchasing and Domestic/International Shipping processes as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information and procedures
  • Accountable to break down incoming materials into smaller batches and re-pack them ensuring they are sized appropriately for the point of use.
  • Resolve/ troubleshoot issues to obtain ingredient information for project team in accordance with Client Quality Guidelines and Food Safety Requirements.
  • Provides liaison support to fill orders, check status of incoming goods and information transfer.
  • Assist in removing trash & recycled material from NDC in accordance to the Client environmental policies.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership in the work place, coach and encourage safe behavior of the team.
  • Responsible for monitoring CCPs & OPRP's in accordance w/NQMS or HACCP plan.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):

  • A.S or B.S degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in warehousing, food manufacturing and culinary environments preferred
  • Must have a safe driving record and a valid, current, clean Ohio Driver’s License and experience driving a box truck (CDL is not required) or ability to learn.
  • Detect and understand warning lights, buzzers, alarms or instruments indicating hazardous conditions or circumstances, which may cause equipment or product loss and physical harm.
  • Must have the ability to become certified in the use of motorized pallet jack and tow motor/ motorized stand-up reach lift truck.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work in extreme temperatures in an industrial environment.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft office suite and ability to become proficient in Client warehouse management systems and software.
  • Should demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work under short timelines and accommodate changing work schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays driving towards trial excellence while prioritizing work effectively.
  • A proactive independent person that is able to lead/manage/complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Creative and innovative with a sense of urgency and passion
