Applications Support Engineer

Hybrid role - 4 days Onsite and 1 day Remote

Job Description:

• Applications Support Engineer
• Onsite in Foster City, CA | 4 days in office
• This position is responsible for Engineering applications development to handle deployments, installation, customization, configuration, and upgrades. 
• This person should be able to perform installation, upgrade, maintenance and integrations.
• Experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines in a Linux environment
• Experience with any middleware like Mulesoft
• Building new servers and cloning on VMWare and AWS
• Experience with PLM tools is added advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installation of Engineering apps on Linux environment
• Upgrade Engineering apps major and FixPacks
• Automate Database refreshes between multiple environments
• Configure reverse proxies, load balancers.
• Should be able to analyse and improve performance.
• Responsible for Filestore configuration and filestore syncing.
• Maintain Engineering applications licensing
• Develop software integrations between Engineering Apps and downstream systems using Web Services, XML, and other related development tools.
• Java knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Develop and document test procedures and assist with unit, integration, and regression testing activities.
• Execute testing that covers various use cases and scenarios with business unit processes.
• Comfortable working within cross functional teams, contributing to the overall planning of projects, recommending approaches, identifying resources, and developing timelines.
• Effectively communicate issues and alternative solutions.
• Takes initiative to achieve value added results and improve upon solutions offered.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and problems within the Engineering systems.
• Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting and ongoing day-to-day system maintenance.
• Provide end user support, training and mentoring.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, information systems, computer science or technology related field
• Working knowledge of AWS, VMWare, Linux must.
• 4+ years of related experience.
