Job Description:

  • This position is responsible for supporting the design, installation, and maintenance of security systems at company facilities and assets.
  • Primary responsibilities include supporting electronic security staff through all stages including analysis, design, construction, implementation, testing, programing, and system monitoring.

Job Requirements:

  • Three or more years' experience in low voltage electronics, computer and network electronic security systems.
  • Knowledge of the design, installation, and service of intrusion detection systems, access control systems (Software House CCURE), video surveillance systems (Avigilon VMS), intercom systems (Aiphone).
  • Experience and knowledge of data network systems including IP addressing and naming, web and proxy, internet, firewalls, virtual private networks, and remote computing access.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Electronic security project management from design, through installation, programing, testing, and commissioning.
  • Programing electronic security software including Software House CCURE, Avigilon VMS, SiteOwl, AiPhone, and PowerBi.
  • Programing intrusion zones and system integrations for security monitoring.
  • Designing physical and electronic security plans for company facilities including critical infrastructure.
  • Ensuring compliance for job safety rules, building codes, and company policies.
  • Anticipated Assignment Schedule: Monday-Friday on-site at APC HQ, 8 hour days, 8am-4pm (or minor time adjustments possible).

Driving: 

  • Driving outside of normal commute may be required.
  • During the assignment, there may be required site visits to APC facilities throughout the state (less than 25% of time).

Required/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior electronic security experience (hardware, software, installation, & programing) required.
  • Three or more years of experience in low voltage electronics, computer and network electronic security systems required. 
  • Knowledge of the design, installation, and service of intrusion detection systems, access control systems (Software House CCURE), video surveillance systems (Avigilon VMS), intercom systems (Aiphone) required. 
  • Experience and knowledge of data network systems including IP addressing and naming, web and proxy, internet, firewalls, virtual private networks, and remote computing access preferred.

Required PPE: 

  • Hard hat, safety vest, substation access clothing and shoes.
