Job Description:
- The Safety Operations Program Manager will be a critical member of the Client Operational Safety team, focused on ensuring that safety investigations and technical safety discussions are effectively documented, tracked, and driven to closure.
- This role is responsible for capturing key discussions and decisions, managing the execution of action items across cross-functional teams including Autonomy, System Engineering, Release Management, and Fleet Operations, and maintaining the documentation and reporting infrastructure that supports the team's work.
- The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve team processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage execution and completion of action items (e.g. ZATs) identified during technical safety discussions, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Autonomy, SDMA, and Fleet Operations.
- Create and manage closeout reports for safety investigations, using AI tools where applicable.
- Manage Operational Safety team documentation, creating new documents and templates when needed, and owning modifications when required.
- Provide support as a minute-taker, on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include capturing key discussions, actions, and decisions in meetings led by Safety Operations.
- Support process improvement initiatives, and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies across team workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 6-8 years of experience in a technical program management role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple overlapping projects on any given week.
- Ability to synthesize and distill technical information and concepts into written communications (including during live discussions), with a sensitivity to language.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Google Suite, Slack, AI Tools, etc.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the automotive and/or AV industry.
- Proficiency in AI Tools and application thereof to manual processes.
