Structural Designer

On-Site role

Job Description:

• The SR Structural Designer 1 position requires 10+ years heavy industrial/power plant experience. 
• Job responsibilities include producing 3D models and design drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or ductwork, preparing layouts and conceptual designs, reviewing vendor shop fabricationdrawings, preparing material takeoffs and assist with cost estimates, coordinating work with other disciplines, clients, and contractors, and performing site walk-downs for field verification and to address constructability. 
• Skillsets and expertise required for this position include proficient using AutoCAD, 3D modeling experience is strongly preferred, experience in Microsoft/Bentley and/or Advanced steel structural software is preferred, steel/concrete detailing background is a plus. 
• Must be able to produce clear, concise drawing notes, able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
