Job Description:
- Work days and hours – Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm (hours may be subject to change after training)
- Location onsite/remote/hybrid – Onsite.
- Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
- Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.
- Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
- Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
- Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
Primary duties will include:
- Working in shipping/receiving environment.
- Packing/unpacking of client systems, accessories, parts and components.
- Handling delicate and sensitive parts and materials with care.
- Daily interaction with ERP, email and project management systems.
- Maintaining records of material movement.
- Following detailed packaging procedures for routine equipment combinations.
- Exercising judgment in safe packaging of less common equipment combinations.
- Communicating with others from different groups in coordinating the outbound flow of material.
- Performing cycle counts of inventory, including specializing in packing material used in primary work duties.
- Submitting timely replenishment requests for packing materials.
- May assist in preparing kits for internal or external assembly operations.
- Additional related activities as needed.
Requirements (required skills, experience, qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience (warehouse/shipping/receiving)
- MUST include packaging of sensitive equipment to protect against damage in transportation.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel is required.
- Strong interpersonal communication, both face to face and in efficient use of email and Microsoft Teams.
- Able to keep track of high volumes of paperwork and inventory passing their desk.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to be reliable and accountable.
- Detail oriented and comfortable to ask questions to complete the task accurately.
- Perform efficiently and accurately when faced with stressful situations.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Routinely lift up-to 50 pounds.
- Purchase and wear daily safety shoes with composite or steel toe.
