On-Site role

Job Description:

  • Mon-Friday, 8a:4pm on-site in Solon, Ohio.
  • Responsible for IT customer support for the Solon R&D Site providing technical assistance and effective support related to IT systems such as computer hardware, software, printers, phones, video conferencing, and networks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier I technical support to end-users via phone, email, Teams, or in-person, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues and escalate problems when necessary.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve issues and coordinate repairs or replacements.
  • Update users on the status of their incident or service request.
  • Support initial computer setup for new employees.
  • Ensure continuous functionality of IT systems and infrastructure for the site.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
  • Maintain phone systems operations (Teams and cell phones).
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
  • Ensure the best service for the lowest cost keeping in mind the end user satisfaction.
  • Assist with developing IT solutions to assist project teams
  • General knowledge is required in specific areas like Server, Network, Database, Application and Workstation.
  • Manage small to medium size projects to ensure completion on time and on budget.
  • Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge):

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technology related field or IT Certification.
  • Minimum 1 year IT/IS experience, hands-on experience with relevant system software to include Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Microsoft Office, Adobe Connect and Microsoft teams.
  • Demonstrated implementation and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written & verbal communication skills.
  • Good planning and organization skills.
  • Experience in Inventory of hardware and software.
