Job Description:
- Work Location: Eau Claire, WI
- Work Schedule: FT M-F , start time between 8:30am & 9:30am end time between 5pm-6pm (depending on needs)
Description:
- As an HR Specialist you will be responsible for performing efficiently on a professional level, working alongside the HR Team, supporting manufacturing operations.
- You will execute your HR skills within the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy administration, recruitment, employment law compliance and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Assists with recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel and interns and supports conducting new-associate orientations and other onboarding activities (50%+ of time).
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
- Assist with company communications.
- Coordinate Associate Events and Wellness Activities.
- Serve as the first point of HR contact for associates regarding comp, payroll, benefits, employment verifications, and various other HR functions.
- Administer/support HR & site level company events (employee giveaways, Benefits Enrollment, Orientations, etc.).
- Assist with tracking of the various leave programs such as FMLA/STD/LTD/Personal.
- Assist with administration of various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the implementation of personnel policies and procedures; communicates associate handbook and corporate policies.
- Assists with benefits administration to include open enrollment, documentation, and communicating benefit information to employees.
- Assists with administering Associate relations counseling and exit interviewing.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years experience working in an HR Department and experience in State/Federal Regulations related to employment such as FLSA, EEOC, ADA,FMLA.
- 2+ years preferred experience in Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing.
- HR Certifications preferred.
- Work experience at a unionized site preferred.
- High level of organizational skills, strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to multi-task and have a high sense of urgency, including priority setting and time management.
- Ability to take initiative & work independently as needed.
- Strong Ethical Conduct.
- Excellent working knowledge and experience with current MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
- Exceptional computer skills.
- Microsoft Copilot experience preferred.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors preferred.
