Title: Laboratory Assistant
Location: Bohemia, NY 
Duration: 18 months

Job Description:

• The Lab assistant provides support to the R&D Sr Scientists by preparing samples for external testing, submitting samples to the labs, uploading results and preparing documentation, collecting information to support risk assessment                                         

Responsibilities
Quality System:

• Maintain documentation, storability, and process according to the quality system in place, instructions, and tools that are directly related to sample management
• Sample management and Analytical tests:
• Weight samples (ingredients and finished product) and submission to external Laboratories.
• Creation of Analytical request
• Upload and organize results
• Organize and manage stability samples according to the protocols.                     

Results reporting:

• Timely reporting of consolidated results and trends to the functions concerned
• Reporting of abnormalities via notification and taking immediate corrections   

Experience:

• Apprenticeship programs or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (microbiology, chemistry, food technology ,or other related fields)

Operational Experience:

• Previous experience in another laboratory or analytical environment is an asset
