Title: Maintenance Equipment Technician
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:

  • Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
  • Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
  • Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Effectively read and follow work instructions for proper product assembly
  • Create Problem Correction Reports (PCRs) or redline procedures and inspection instructions; work closely with engineers to resolve issues related to new product introduction such as manufacturability and form, fit, and function for future builds
  • Troubleshoot moderate to highly complex electrical issues within an assembly manufacturing environment

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Able to work up to 8-hour shifts in a clean room environment wearing PPE (bunny suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear)
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities (ex., rework, overtime)
  • Willing and able to install components from a working height between 12”-71” and reach into machines to perform tasks

Requirements (required skills, experience, qualifications):

  • Read and understand electrical schematics for AC and DC circuits
  • Use of a DMM
  • Repair and fabricate cables. (cut wire, solder, shrink tube, crimp, etc.)

Nice to Have (preferred skills, experience, qualifications):

  • Semiconductor capital equipment experience.
  • Ability to assemble components into an e-chassis from schematic and kit of parts.
  • Ability to develop work instructions.
