Title: Senior Software Test Engineer - Layer 3 Protocols
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: Full-Time 

Job Description

• Looking for 2 to10+ years of experience

Job duties: 

• Design, develop, and execute test plans for testing software features on Layer 3 protocols such as IPV4, IPV6, OSPF, BGP, L3VPN, and Multicast protocols such as IGMP and PIM. 
• Designed, developed, and executed test plans for testing Layer 2 protocols such as DOT1X, EVPN, MSTP, RSTP, LACP, VRRP, multi-chassis LAG, and virtual chassis. 
• Experience with CISCO ISE, Aruba Clearpass, Commercial switches and routers from Arista, CISCO, and Juniper is highly desired. 
• Automate test cases using Python programming language for testing various software features. 
• Design network topologies for testing Layer 2, and Layer 3 protocol functionalities using commercial traffic generator tools from IXIA and SPIRENT. 

Minimum Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience as Software Test Engineer, Senior Software Test Engineer, Technical Lead, Staff Test Engineer, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Engineer, Engineer-Software Engineering, or a related occupation required. 

The required work experience must include 5 years of experience using the following skills: 

• Layer 3 protocols including IPV4, IPV6, PIM, IGMP, BGP, OSPF and L3VPN 
• Layer 2 protocols including DOT1X, EVPN, MSTP, RSTP, LACP, VRRP, multi-chassis LAG, and virtual chassis 
• Experience with CISCO ISE, Aruba Clearpass, Commercial switches and routers from Arista, CISCO, and Juniper is highly desired. 
• Python programming language; and  
• Traffic generator tools from IXIA and SPIRENT.
