Title: Data Warehouse Project Manager (Remote)
Location: San Ramon, CA
Pay Rate: $75-80/hr on C2C

Job Description:

• As a Data Warehouse Project Manager at our Client, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of data warehousing projects. You will leverage your hands-on experience as an ETL ODI developer to ensure the seamless integration of data processes and methodologies into project management practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has transitioned from a technical role to a leadership position and is passionate about delivering high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
• Establish project budgets and monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of data engineers, ETL developers, and data analysts.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Leverage your deep understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and ETL processes, particularly using ODI (Oracle Data Integrator).
• Oversee data modeling, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities to ensure data accuracy and quality.
• Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle.
• Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges.
• Monitor and report on project progress, highlighting any deviations from the plan.
• Implement data quality standards and best practices.
• Conduct regular data quality checks and audits to ensure the reliability of data.
• Maintain clear and open communication with project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members.
• Provide regular project status updates and reports.
• Manage changes to project scope and objectives effectively.
• Ensure that changes are documented, approved, and properly communicated to the team.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
• Generate project reports and performance metrics for management and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience as an ETL ODI developer with a minimum of [X years] hands-on experience.
• 4+ of experience in project management, with a successful track record of delivering data warehousing projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• PMP or similar project management certification is needed.
